I just rediscovered files from one of my old laptops. Among those I found one of my biggest programming project which I did during high school over 6 years ago. It was called Windnote. It was written in C# and was able to fetch wind data from Windfinder and display it as notify icons in the windows bar. So you had your relevant wind data always right on your desktop. It also had the possibility to set wind alarms for good forecasts and good current conditions. Besides that I also programmed an installer and an update functionality, so that the users were able to auto-update. I think I published >60 updates. It was pretty cool und did a really good job for me and my friends. Here is a small gallery with different screenshots I made. I never published Windnote officially since the usage of the the hidden windfinderAPI was “semi-legal”;)
