Testing velocity.js

  • 2. November 2014

As you may have noticed I changed the page transition animations on my blog. Before I used the fadeIn | fadeOut operations provided by jQuery. As the performance of jQuery animations is known to be a bit slow, I gave velocity.js a shot. It uses a seperate animation stack and the UI package comes with a lot of cool built-in animations. Read this article on Smashing Magazine about it. So far I’m quite happy about the change. I will try out different variations over the next few days, as far as I find some time for this gimmick-ish thing 😉
